How it works

A small daily ritual, built to last.

Most art apps want your whole evening. YEUX wants a few minutes of your morning, every morning, and to leave you knowing a little more than you did yesterday.

Claude Monet, Stacks of Wheat (End of Summer)

One painting, every morning

Chosen by hand from the open collections of the world's great museums. Not a feed. Just one.

The story behind it

Who made it, what was going on, and what to look for. Short enough for your coffee, good enough to remember.

Mary Cassatt, The Child's Bath

Keep the ones you love

Save a painting to your Library and come back to it whenever you like. Over a year, that's a collection of your own.

The story

Read it in the time it takes to drink a coffee.

Tap and the story opens over the painting: who made it, what was going on, and what to look for. We check the stories against each museum's own record, and fix anything we get wrong.

Browse

Wander by movement or by artist.

No endless search box, no filters. Paintings are gathered the way a curator would, into the families of ideas that shaped how art got made, and the people who made it.

Artists

Meet the people who made them.

Every artist has a short life story and their works in YEUX, so one painting you liked leads you to the next.

A gentle nudge

One reminder a day, at a time you choose. Or none at all.

Missed a day?

Scroll back through recent days. Nothing to catch up on, no streak to lose.

Quiet by design

Made to be calm.

YEUX doesn't want your attention all day. It wants a few good minutes of it. So some things are left out on purpose.

  • No accountNothing to sign up for. Open it and look.
  • No adsAnd no third-party trackers. YEUX counts taps, not people, and you can switch even that off.
  • No streaksNo badges, no red dots, no guilt for missing a day.

Where the art comes from

Every painting in YEUX comes from the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Rijksmuseum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and SMK, the National Gallery of Denmark, and is credited to its museum, every time.
